The Fixery

The Fixery is a community resource based in Reepham for anyone who’s keen to repair things, save money and keep stuff out of landfill.

Our Fixers help to repair everything from picture frames to PCs, and we pass on our skills to help the community by showing people how to fix their own stuff.

We need people who are happy with sewing machines, glue guns, paintbrushes, chisels, spanners, bike tools, soldering irons and GitHub, as well as welcomers and organisers.

Whitwell Common

Whitwell Common is a spring fed valley fen in the Blackwater tributary of the river Wensum. It is situated approx 2 miles to the south west of Reepham (Grid Reference TG088206) and covers approx 20 ha. Designated a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) in 1965, it is one of the few remaining open fen habitats typical of Norfolk river valleys. Up until the 1930s local graziers and the retained "hayward" maintained the open habitat and gained benefit from the common.
