Bawdeswell Youth Football Club seeks new players

Since June 2016, Bawdeswell Youth Football Club has been holding football training at Bawdeswell Village Hall, Reepham Road, Bawdeswell, every Wednesday evening for local children from reception to year 7 age groups.

The club has been overwhelmed by the turnouts of, on average, 40 children attending each week and recently had a recent record attendance of 46 children, despite freezing conditions.

As a result, the club is in the process of becoming affiliated with the Norfolk Football Association and aims to join a local youth league next season to allow the children to play in a fun, but competitive, manner.

Bawdeswell Youth Football Club is currently looking for players in school year groups 5, 6 and 7, both boys and girls.

School years 4–7 train from 7–8 pm every Wednesday. Training costs £2 per week (the first “taster” session is free).

All players are requested to wear shin-pads and football boots with plastic studs.
