Broadland candidates announced ahead of general election
Five candidates have been nominated for the Broadland constituency for the UK Parliamentary General Election on Thursday 8 June:
- Andrew Boswell (Green)
- David John Moreland (UKIP)
- Steve Riley (Liberal Democrats)
- Keith Simpson (Conservative)
- Iain Simpson (Labour)
In the 2015 General Election, Broadland voted Conservative, with incumbent Keith Simpson winning with a majority of 16,838 over the Labour candidate in second place.
Broadland 2015 results
- Keith Simpson (Conservative) – 26,808 votes (50.5%)
- Chris Jones (Labour) – 9,970 votes (18.8%)
- Stuart Agnew (UKIP) – 8,881 votes (16.7%)
- Steve Riley (Liberal Democrat) – 5,178 votes (9.8%)
- Andrew Boswell (Green) – 2,252 votes (4.2%)
Turnout – 53,098 (71.1%).
