Bawdeswell’s beautiful gardens on show

Perhaps better known for its garden centre on the Norwich to Fakenham road, Bawdeswell also has some amazing gardens hidden behind the houses in the village. Many of them stretch back to open fields, with the largest being three acres in size.

The village is holding an Open Gardens Weekend on 23–24 June from 10 am – 4 pm, with 16 gardens so far having agreed to throw their gates open.

The starting point is the village hall in Reepham Road, where there is plenty of car parking, refreshments, a heritage exhibition and a children’s adventure play area.

Entry to the gardens is by programme purchased at the village hall for £5 per family or group, with proceeds for the church tower repairs.
