Award for local food business

A food producer operating near Reepham won last month’s EDP Norfolk Food & Drink Awards Pride of Norfolk category.

Essence Foods produces a range of conserves and marmalades, mustards and chutneys and healthy chocolate spreads from its base at Salle Moor Hall Farm, Wood Dalling Road.
Other finalists in the prestigious awards category sponsored by Norse Catering included Green Farm Coffee, the Norfolk Brewhouse and Winbirri Vineyards.
Earlier this year, Essence Foods received a gold award for its Lime Marmalade with Bergamot and Bay and a bronze for its Salted Seville Orange Marmalade at the World’s Original Marmalade Awards.
