Old Brewery House on the market for £800,000

Reepham’s Old Brewery House Hotel, which closed in mid-August, is now officially on the market at an asking price of £800,000.

The car park at the rear of the Old Brewery House Hotel has been closed off to vehicles and the building has now been secured by vacant property specialists

The Grade II listed building in Market Place is listed with Colliers International. It said Oxford Hotels & Inns, which had operated the business, decided the business was no longer a good fit within its portfolio and closed the hotel.

“Although investment and refurbishment will be required, the hotel would respond particularly well to this and it is felt that, with a hands-on owner at the helm or perhaps part of a more localised small group, it could once again enjoy the level of trade which it has enjoyed in the past,” said Colliers.

The Old Brewery House features 23 en suite bedrooms, a restaurant, conservatory, bar and lounge area, together with a function suite and leisure complex including a gym, squash courts and swimming pool.

The building retains much of its original character, including wood panelling and an impressive staircase, and has over the years been added to significantly at the rear. There are two wings at the rear of the building, one of them housing 14 of the bedrooms, the other the function suite, leisure club and three bedroom manager’s/owner’s flat.
