Free social media training for businesses and community groups

Lots of small businesses are now using social media like Facebook or Twitter as a way of promoting their businesses to new customers and continuing a dialogue with their existing ones.

Reepham Chamber of Commerce is organising two free sessions to help businesses with their social media presence. It does not matter if you have never used Facebook or Twitter, or are already a regular user, there will be something for everyone. Our intention is to ensure that every Reepham business can have a place on the internet. Organisers and administrators of community groups are also welcome to attend.

Session 1: Overview and Introduction to Social Media
Date: Monday 25 November 2013
Time: 7.00 pm
Venue: Reepham High School
This first session is a gentle introduction to social media and how it can benefit businesses and community groups. We’ll show you examples of businesses that have really benefited from using social media. No previous experience is required and there will be plenty of expertise and help on hand for those who need it.

Session 2: Practical Application for your Business/Group
Date: Monday 2 December 2013
Time: 7.00 pm
Venue: Reepham High School
This second session will be more hands-on and practical with the emphasis on how social media will work for you. You will get a chance to try social media out for yourself and take your first steps to getting an internet presence.

Both sessions will be given by Julie Bishop, an experienced trainer who has previously worked with small businesses, allowing them to optimise their use of social media. Members of Reepham Chamber will also be on hand to share their social media experiences with you. Please attend both sessions to ensure you get maximum benefit from this training.
