Bircham Centre office moves downstairs

The Bircham Centre office has moved downstairs, to the rear of the kitchen, into one of the oldest parts of the building in Market Place, Reepham. This has freed up the old office, which will be decorated and let out for community and business use.

Administrator Gill Wheatley explained: “We have carried out extensive refurbishments to the old timber wing over the past year with the Archive Rooms upstairs and are trying to maximise the space this wonderful building offers for community use.

“The old office was quite large for one person and it seemed sensible to move it to a smaller room and free up the space as an income generator for the Centre. It also means, being downstairs now, that our customers can meet me easier without having to climb the stairs and I can be more involved in the day-to-day activities of the centre, which is great.”

As well as the Charity Shop, Reepham Archive Rooms, Library and Art Gallery, the Bircham Centre now offers two large and two medium-sized rooms that can be rented by the hour. There is also a lovely garden that is open daily to the public and available for private function hire.
