“Luckily, the weather held out and some very skilful play was evident throughout the day,” said Jill Masdin of RHSC’s Physical Education Department. The girls convincingly won all four matches in their pool.

With both finalists qualifying for the regional tournament, in the crucial semi-final match RHSC were up against Gresham’s School, with whom the team has previously had close matches. The Reepham girls played out of their skins and produced the result to win 11-3.

And to round off a perfect day, RHSC beat Norwich School 9-6 in the final to become U14 county champions and qualify for the next round, which will be held at Hassenbrook School in Essex on Saturday 30 January.

“A fantastic effort by all the girls involved and fully deserved,” said Mrs Masdin.
