The group is one of five LAGs providing rural development funding across Norfolk and North Suffolk.
 
LAGs comprise representatives of businesses, community organisations and public authorities within the respective area.
 
Awarded £9m funding from the EU’s Rural Development Programme, the LAGs are keen to hear about activities that can stimulate the Norfolk economy.
 
The funding aims to support economic growth activities, such as increasing farm productivity, supporting new and existing micro and small rural businesses, culture and heritage activity, rural services, tourism and forestry.
 
70% of the funding must make a direct contribution to the local economy, and provide jobs and growth, and the priorities reflect this.
