The organisation has a long history of working closely with local schools to lend its expertise to the benefit of young people.

Rotarian Robert Briggs was master of ceremonies for the evening with the help of two students, Angus Weston and Alfie Moss; the Ven Arthur Hawes chaired the judges’ panel; and club president Andrew Egerton-Smith presented the prizes.

This year’s winners were

  • 1st: Evie Moss (year 10), perhaps inspired by her younger brother Alfie – last year’s winner;
  • 2nd: Jack Jarvis (year 8) – moving up from 3rd last year;
  • 3rd: Lilly Dollman (year 9).

The other finalists were: Luke Groom, Finley Robertson, Katie Leigh, Isla Cocks, Sarah Betts, Jasmine Warne and Amy Spooner.
