Their last Sunday will be 30 July and they will move away from Reepham during the following two weeks.

“We have always known that 2016 or 2017 would be the years during which this move would come, and because of the work of reorganisation in the Deanery and the Three Churches Project in Reepham we have delayed the date as long as possible,” said Revd Canon Dean, who has been the Rector of Reepham, Salle, Thurning and Wood Dalling for the past five years and was recently appointed priest-in-charge of the Reepham and Wensum Valley Team.

“At this point it is still hard to believe that we will be leaving you all. You have made us very welcome and we love being part of these communities, and living in this part of the country.”

The Deans will be moving back to their house in Guildford – at least for a year – while they decide where they want to spend their retirement.

The process of making a new appointment has already begun.
