Broadland candidates announced ahead of general election

Five candidates have been nominated for the Broadland constituency for the UK Parliamentary General Election on Thursday 8 June:

  • Andrew Boswell (Green)
  • David John Moreland (UKIP)
  • Steve Riley (Liberal Democrats)
  • Keith Simpson (Conservative)
  • Iain Simpson (Labour)

In the 2015 General Election, Broadland voted Conservative, with incumbent Keith Simpson winning with a majority of 16,838 over the Labour candidate in second place.

  1. Keith Simpson (Conservative) – 26,808 votes (50.5%)
  2. Chris Jones (Labour) – 9,970 votes (18.8%)
  3. Stuart Agnew (UKIP) – 8,881 votes (16.7%)
  4. Steve Riley (Liberal Democrat) – 5,178 votes (9.8%)
  5. Andrew Boswell (Green) – 2,252 votes (4.2%)

Turnout – 53,098 (71.1%).
