The Bircham Centre in 2013

Our AGM on Monday 13 May was a brilliant opportunity to review the year we've just had at The Bircham Centre. So much has been achieved that will make the place better for you, the people of Reepham.

If you don't know about The Bircham Centre, it's the beautiful building that houses the library in the market square. It was placed in trust for the people of Reepham and is available for rent for clubs and meetings at a very reasonable rate.  It's run by twelve volunteer Trustees who make sure the building is maintained to a high standard.

So, what can you do at The Bircham Centre? You can knit (and natter), you can get homeopathic treatment and reflexology. You can attend a children's music group or a women's choir. You can do yoga, play bridge, sew, buy produce, run, vote and attend to your aches and pains, and we have a wonderful charity shop run by volunteers (open Mondays, Wednesdays Fridays and Saturdays 9 am -1 pm). We also have an art gallery where you can see exhibits from local artists and buy their work. A percentage of the sale is donated to The Bircham Centre so everything you buy helps!

It's been a fantastic year so far - we're opening a permanent archive exhibition in the summer, in three 400-year-old rooms that have just been beautifully renovated. Our gardens, which are open all year round, are particularly fun to come to during the Festival in August. We sell books and magazines and we're open every day except Sundays. Come and see us - enjoy the Georgian rooms and lovely Victorian walled garden.
