Norfolk County Council has issued an emergency temporary traffic restriction in Whitwell owing to a burst water main.
The use by vehicles of the C266 Whitwell Common from 286 metres northeast of its junction with Nowhere Lane for a distance of 30 metres will be temporarily prohibited from 24–30 April for the duration of the works, which is expected to take about seven days within this period. If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum of 21 days.
The alternative route is via: Whitwell Common, Whitwell Road, School Road, B1145 (Dereham Road/Bawdeswell Road/Reepham Road/Norwich Road), A1067 (Fakenham Road/Main Road/Sparham Hill), Nowhere Lane (Reepham/Bawdeswell/Great Witchingham/Sparham).
