Briston organ show flies high

The next Briston Organ Show will feature an evening of home-grown music, entertainment and laughter in aid of the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital.

Over the past few years the organisers and their audiences have raised several thousand pounds for this worthy cause.

Much of the live music is provided by local organ and keyboard entertainer Mick Leary, with humorous interludes during the show from “the ladies who do the refreshments and raffle, the guy who organises the car parking and anyone else daft enough to volunteer”.

Entitled “The Better Late Than Never” Christmas show, the event will be held on Friday 10 January at the Copeman Centre, Hall Street, Briston at 7.30 pm (doors open 7 pm).

The venue features excellent acoustics with soft, comfortable seats, disabled access and free parking.

Tickets are £6, available from Carol Parsons 01263 860844 or email
