Reepham Town Council meetings cancelled

The latest meeting of Reepham Town Council was scheduled to take place Wednesday 8 April. However, given the current situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak, this was cancelled, as was the Stimpson’s Piece charity trustee meeting.

The town council has agreed to conduct business remotely via email while the current government restrictions are in place.

Although legislation has been passed to give the town council the option of holding meetings virtually, this is not something that it has yet approved.

Should the council decide to proceed down this route, it will take some planning and preparation to conduct a meeting in this manner.

Meanwhile, Stimpson’s Piece pavilion has been closed as required by the government guidance on Covid-19.

The town council will inform hirers as and when the guidelines allow the building to be reopened.

All bookings will be on hold and secured when the hall reopens. This includes the play area, which should not be used. Safety inspections will not be carried out during this time.
