Rotary club donates £5,000 for PPE at children’s hospices
Reepham & District Rotary Club has raised £5,000 for East Anglia Children’s Hospices to provide urgently needed personal protective equipment for the safety of staff and patients at its three hospices.

This initial fundraising has been supported by a grant from Rotary International.
Like many other charities, EACH has suffered financially from the current coronavirus pandemic.
Many fundraising projects have been delayed and its shops have been unable to open until recently; income has fallen by £100,000 per month.
At the same time, Covid-19 has resulted in extra costs for looking after children and their families.
The donation from Reepham Rotary will cover the “scrubs” that form the basis of PPE for staff at its three hospices in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk; these cost £40–50 per set.
Reepham Rotary has supported EACH for many years. The club identified an opportunity to submit a request to the Rotary International Disaster Relief Grant for needs arising from Covid-19; this is one of only two such projects supported in East Anglia.
In accepting the donation, Tim Jenkins, community fundraiser for EACH, said: “This is a wonderful donation and most timely. We are very grateful for all the efforts Reepham Rotary have made on our behalf.”
