Allan Tripp (pictured) helped decorate the Dial House in the Market Place, as well as the new dwellings to the rear of the building, when it was refurbished a few years ago.

He has continued training through lockdown while working long shifts, six days a week, trying to fit in time with his partner and three-year-old daughter.

His run will take him into Reepham before looping round on the Marriott’s Way, towards Whitwell Station, before heading back into Norwich.

The virtual event will be held on Sunday 4 October and Mr Tripp, who lives near Hellesdon, is raising fund for the Alzheimer’s Society. To donate via Just Giving, click HERE

“I’ve lost loved ones to this horrible disease and most recently we lost my partner’s nan,” he said.

“I really wanted to do something to try and help research in finding ways to slow/prevent Alzheimer’s and possibly one day we won’t have to see loved ones go through it.”

Mr Tripp will also be running the London Marathon in April 2022 – hopefully in London.
