The Stimpson’s Piece Charity relies on income from lettings and grants to maintain the open areas, the children’s play area and the pavilion.

Paul Mitchell, chair of the charity, said: “We need your help so we can continue to maintain and improve the children’s play area, the skateboard park and the pavilion, which provides a home for the children’s nursery, changing rooms for the football club and a large hall, which is available for community use.

“The children’s play equipment is in need of refurbishment and, in some cases replacement, and the pavilion requires significant repair and upgrading.

“Thank you for your support, which will ensure that the people of Reepham continue to enjoy the facilities and open space that Stimpson’s Piece offers. Good luck!”

The lottery has been launched by Broadland District Council to help support non-profit organisations in the district that have faced difficulties fundraising.

Tickets cost just £1 and there will be a weekly draw with a jackpot of £25,000 as well as other prizes.

50% of ticket sales will go to the person’s nominated good cause, 10% will go into a community fund run by Broadland District Council and the remaining 40% will go towards the prize money. The first draw is on 27 February.
