Hampton’s closes in Reepham, moves to Bawdeswell

Hampton’s Home & Garden closed its doors in Norwich Road, Reepham, on Thursday 23 April, and is due to reopen as Hamptons @ the barn on Dereham Road, Bawdeswell, on Monday 4 May.

Proprietor Annie Benton said: “Yesterday was a very sad day for me personally after spending nearly every day here for the past four years. It will be strange passing the door en route to our new premises.”

She explained that the setup in Bawdeswell will be similar to that in Reepham, but on a bigger scale. The new restaurant will seat 60 people, with further dining outside, weather permitting.

“All the old favourites will be on the menu, plus plenty more new dishes, especially our slow-cooked Sunday roast emerging from our vintage AGA,” said Ms Benton.

“We will also have a deli, something new to us, which we will be stocking with all sorts of tempting treats, oils, vinegars, local cheeses and artisan bread, just to name a few.

“Our new retail area will be much bigger than we had before, allowing us to display far more interior furniture, mirrors, chandeliers and gift lines. In a nutshell: a bigger Hamptons.

“To all our customers, both local and further afield, a very big thank-you for all your unceasing support, and we do hope you will visit us in our new home.

“We look forward to seeing you there from 4 May; you will be made very welcome.”
