Classic car and bike festival celebrates ‘Cool Italia’

The organisers of the 2nd Reepham Classic Car & Bike Festival are calling for the owners of iconic Italian makes to join them at this year’s “Cool Italia” themed event.

The motoring majesty of Italy will be showcased at the festival, which takes place on Sunday 27 September, and will bring a slice of continental sophistication to Reepham.

The event is open to the public from 11 am – 4 pm. Exhibitors are asked to arrive between 8 and 10 am, leaving between 4 and 6 pm.

Toby Wilson, head of the London Automobilia department for Bonhams auctioneers, will be on hand from 10.30 am – 3.30 pm to provide free, confidential and no-obligation valuations on the day at their Reepham office. Appointments can be booked (01603 871443 or norfolk@bonhams.co.uk), although he will also see casual callers on the day.

With half the display places dedicated to the classic Italian marques, it is going to be real celebration of the country’s infamous style. On display will be iconic brands such as Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Lancia and Maserati, as well as two-wheeled machines from MV Augusta, Ducatti, Laverda, Moto Guzzi, Lambretta and Vespa.

The remaining places will be given to outstanding exhibits from the 2014 festival, as well as particularly interesting newcomers. There will also be plenty of food and music on the day.

  • For those wishing to apply to display their classic car, please contact Peter Fitzjohn by email: reephamclassic15@hotmail.com and provide a brief description of your car and a photo, if possible. All applicants will be informed of the final list.
