A really great British comedy cast, (Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and Michael Gambon) this is the kind of comedy that only the British can do. This is a first major Director role for Dustin Hoffman.
 
Based in a home for the mature, it has great fun with the problems of getting on in years interlinked with ‘Oh God, not you’ statements of ‘friends’ meeting again after many years.
 
Would Verdi turn in his grave if he thought he was remembered in such a way?
 
A true ‘feel good’ film. A must to see, laugh a minute film.
