CATS Theatre Group moves to Foulsham

After 14 years and 27 shows the CATS Theatre Group has moved from Cawston to Foulsham.

The group is now running at full capacity, which means Cawston Village Hall can no longer accommodate the actors’ future development.

“It truly has been a wonderful home for CATS over the years and all our members have fallen in love with the welcoming audiences that Cawston has given us,” said Liz Beard, producer and joint founder of the Community Amateur Theatrical Society.

“Everyone is incredibly grateful to the friendly faces that have returned show after show, year after year, full of excitement and encouragement, ready to share the magic that is created on the stage.

“This is a bold step for us to take after such a successful time in Cawston, but one we know is necessary for us to be able to continue to improve and grow.

“Our main priority has been to find a venue with a permanent stage and with dressing rooms more suited to our needs.

“We trust that our move will be met with understanding and support from you all and that you will share in our excitement as we invite you to join us for our performance of Cinderella.”

This enchanting pantomime was written by CATS joint founder Beryl Thomas and is a beautiful and funny adaptation of the well-known story with the odd twist in the tale – and one not to be missed.

  • Cinderella will be performed at New Frost Hall, Foulsham, on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 February, with evening performances on both days and a matinee performance on the Saturday. Tickets are £6 for adults, £4 concessions, and will be on sale at Foulsham Village Stores.
