This effort brought Reepham & District Rotary Club’s total for the year to more than £13,000, with principal contributions coming from a summer concert, a golf day and the art exhibition at the Aylsham Show.

Other charities supported last year included a test for prostate cancer at the University of East Anglia, Eating Matters and the Bircham Centre in Reepham.

The club also provides practical and financial support to many other initiatives specifically devoted to Reepham.

Reepham & District Rotary Club recently elected John Pickering to take over when current president Tony Williams finishes his year in June.

Food festival grows for 2020

Stallholders are already signing up for the fourth Reepham Food Festival, which the Rotary Club is organising for 24 May 2020 with the help of other organisations and local businesses.

The festival is popular with Norfolk’s food businesses, which like the unique atmosphere of the Market Place – and the fact that they sell lots of produce.

The organisers are looking at new ideas to widen the appeal of the festival and make the most of our local food and drink suppliers.

Discussions are currently taking place with sponsors to make sure the festival has a bright future. We’d love to hear from anyone who can help.
