A welcome picnic will be held at Rookery Farm, Church Street, Reepham, from 12 pm on Sunday 4 July, to which everyone is invited. This will be preceded by an informal service at St Mary’s Reepham at 10.30 am.

Mr Turk grew up in Brighton and met his wife Laura, who grew up in in Lincolnshire and Hampshire, at university in Norwich, where they both studied history. Laura went on to train as a teacher and is now a deputy headteacher. Both are bellringers, which their children Jacob and Hannah have now started.

“We all enjoy music and being outside: one of the things we missed most during lockdown was our annual walking holiday in Pembrokeshire,” said Mr Turk, who also enjoys photography, which he likes to combine with his interest in history.

“As a family, we enjoy the Harry Potter stories (books and films) and hope the children will enjoy the Lord of the Rings as much.”

Reepham and Wensum Valley Team Churches comprise the parishes of Alderford with Attlebridge, Bylaugh, Elsing, Great with Little Witchingham (Lenwade), Lyng, Reepham and Hackford with Whitwell and Kerdiston, Salle, Sparham, Swannington, Thurning, Wood Dalling, and Weston Longville with Morton-on-the-Hill.
