Successful start for memory loss café

A successful first “taster” session of the new Sunshine Café was held on Thursday 9 September when ten guests came to St Michael’s Reepham for friendship, coffee, a chat and games.

It is hoped they will become regular visitors and that more will join in for the next meeting on Thursday 23 September.

Reepham & District Rotary Club thanked volunteers from the club and elsewhere in the community who came to help.

The Sunshine Café will be held at St Michael’s from 10 am to 12 noon on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month.

Future plans for the meetings include Pilates (in a chair), musical entertainment, a Remembrance Day celebration and Christmas carols.

The café offers a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere with music, games and entertainment, together with tea, coffee and cake.

There is no membership, regular fees or any obligation to visit – anyone with a need can turn up on the day and be assured of a warm welcome.
