Part of Marriott’s Way closed for tree felling

A section of the Marriott’s Way footpath, cycle-path and bridleway south of Whitwell Station has been closed to allow trees to be cut down, after an annual safety survey focusing on ash dieback disease.

The work, which will remove dead or dangerous trees, started on Wednesday 8 December and is expected to take two weeks.

Diversions for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders have been put in place.
