New fund for community activities in Broadland

Broadland Youth Advisory Board (YAB) has opened a fund for community groups and organisations to apply for to run positive activities and community cohesion activities. The new fund is now open to those living, working and studying in Broadland District.

Broadland YAB wants to fund activities for young people in the holiday periods and from groups who want to run events that bring communities together.

Ideas for activities include sports, youth cafés, proms/underage nightclubs, taster sessions, music sessions, arts and craft activities, trips – the options are endless!

Ideas for communities to come together are similarly varied – human libraries, dance events, talent competitions, sports days, coffee afternoons, storytelling, exhibitions – whatever you fancy!

Groups can apply for up to £700 and all applications will be reviewed by our young commissioners.

Groups can apply for activities well in advance of their delivery – don’t be worried about making an application for an event or activity well in advance.

The first round will be open until 13 October 2013, with applications being reviewed in time for funds to be released in time for October half term. The second round will be open from 20 October – 10 December 2013.

The small grants fund will be open until 31 March 2014 so applicants can apply anytime.
