Panther Brewery to organise Reepham Beer Festival

Reepham-based Panther Brewery is organising the Reepham Beer Festival on the weekend of 2-3 August 2014. The event will be held at Stimpson’s Piece Pavilion with marquees outside and will run from 11am to midnight on Saturday and from 11 am – to 5 pm on Sunday.

The Reepham Beer Festival will be a celebration of good things in 2014: music, food, people and, of course, beer.

The events plans to include top quality live music from local Norfolk, including such bands as The Piratones, The Harvs and The Dirigibles, plus special guest John Ole Slewfoot Brewery Band; more bands to be announced soon.

Top quality food will include a BBQ run by the 2nd Reepham Scout Group, a hog roast and stalls from local food producers, as well as a takeaway beer stand (bottles and containers).

More than 20 real ales will be available (TBC) from Norfolk breweries including: Panther, Humpty Dumpty, Buffy’s, Old Slewfoot, Norfolk Brewhouse and Fat Cat (more to be announced), as well as cider from Norfolk Cider (East Norfolk Trading).

Entry will be £5 on the door; advance tickets purchased prior to the event are £3 available from Panther Brewery, Unit 1, Collers Way, Reepham, Norfolk NR10 4SW. Tel: 01603 871163.

Organiser Martin James is also looking to raise money for charities. “CAMRA have kindly given their support in terms of kit for the event,” he said. “I would like to give the money I was going to give CAMRA to a charity and we can also raise money during the event. We will consider any suitable charities.”

It is also planned to have on-site camping available on Stimpson’s Piece over the weekend. Further details can be obtained soon from www.pantherbrewery.co.uk
