Cake and flower sale for Katja Hansen-Livsey Trust

A cake and flower sale as well as a raffle will be held on Saturday 7 June at Angelica florists, Market Place, Reepham. All proceeds will go to the Katja Hansen-Livsey Trust, which has been set up in memory of the 19-year-old local girl, who was killed in a road accident in November.

T-shirts will also be on sale and a route map will be available for Birdy’s Bike Ride, which takes place on Sunday 15 June.

This 20-mile fundraising cycle ride starts at Gresham’s prep school in Holt, travelling through Hindringham and finishing at Reepham College.

T-shirts, which are available in small, medium and large and cost £10 each, can be ordered from Hilary Livsey 01603 879555 or hilary.clark@hotmail.co.uk and can be collected from Angelica.

The trust fund has already raised more than £1,000 which will go towards an award at the University of Liverpool School of Medicine, where Katja had been accepted as a student, and also to create a bird sculpture in the Medical School’s admissions building.

Money raised will also go to Reepham College, where an award and bursary is to be established in her memory.
