Reepham Christmas stocking appeal

After the success of last year, Reepham residents and businesses are once again being asked for donations of new gifts for the Christmas stocking appeal to support local families who may be struggling this year.
 
Donations suitable for 0-17-year-olds can be dropped off at the following outlets from 1–30 November:

Rogue trader alert

Norfolk Police have received reports of a male cold calling at properties in the Reepham area this morning (Thursday, 7 October) offering to sell furniture.
 
The rogue trader was seen to be using a sign-written white Mercedes Sprinter van.
 
Police advice is to never deal with anyone who cold calls at your property or approaches you in the street offering to sell you something.
 

Heydon property the most expensive sold in Norfolk in August

The Grade II listed Cropton Hall has sold for nearly £1.4 million, topping the list of the most expensive homes sold in Norfolk in August.
 
The building is thought to have originally been built in 1598 and was used as a hunting lodge within the Heydon estate to the north of Reepham.

Salle footpath closure

Norfolk County Council has issued an emergency notice of a temporary traffic restriction on a footpath in Salle parish.
 
Owing to works to replace a collapsed footbridge the use by the public of footpath Salle FP12 from its junction with Salle FP9 to its junction with Holly Lane is  prohibited from 27 September to 17 October 2021.
 
The alternative route is via: Holly Lane, Crowden Lane.

Norfolk County Council is resettling Afghans in Norfolk with the support of all the district councils.
 
If you would like to donate goods or housing or volunteer your time in certain support services, click HERE, where you will find a list of what help is needed.
 
The county council is using this service to manage the high number of donations and offers it is receiving.
