Summer concert raises funds for children’s hospices

The Reepham-based Iceni Choir performed its summer concert in Bawdeswell Village Hall on 28 July. An audience of more than 70 enjoyed music from Bach, Handel and Rutter, as well as a selection of hits from the musicals of Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The evening raised more than £250 for the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices charity, which offers care and support for children with life-threatening conditions and their families across East Anglia.

The funds raised will go towards funding “The Nook” – a new purpose-built hospice in Norfolk that will replace the existing facility in Quidenham. This new building will have improved accessibility and flexibility and enable the charity to deliver even better services to more children in the region.

Iceni Choir’s next event is afternoon tea in St Mary’s Elsing on 30 September at 3 pm. Tickets from Ann Askew 01603 868435 or Jim Stebbings 01362 868435.
