Festival of Light raffle winners

The Festival of Light raffle has been drawn and the winning ticket was number 192.
 
The winners were the Smith family from Reepham. The prize, a £50 voucher donated by Spar, Reepham, was presented to Sarah Smith and her children (pictured).
 

 
The raffle raised £91 towards the costs of the Festival of Light. A big thank you to everyone who bought a ticket during the evening.

Today Thursday 7 December
 
Stalls open from 4.30 pm, children's lantern parade 5 pm, followed by an evening of fun and entertainment with Graham Andrew of Funforce.
 
Win a £50 SPAR voucher by buying a raffle ticket - watch/listen out for the sellers walking around.
 
Free entry but donations towards costs much appreciated - look out for the yellow buckets!
 
Market Place closed to traffic and parking from 1 pm to 10 pm.
 

Sung Advent Compline at St Mary’s

A Sung Advent Compline will be held at 7 pm on 6 December, 13 December and 20 December (6.30 pm on 6 December if you would like to sing) at St Mary’s Reepham.
 
This represents an opportunity for 20 minutes to breathe in some “Call The Midwife” nun-styled songs as an antidote to the busy season.
 
You are welcome to come and listen and just be. This will be a peaceful Wednesday night opportunity.
 

New committee and programme for Mid Norfolk Conservation Volunteers

The Mid Norfolk Conservation Volunteers has announced its programme of free outdoor activities for December-January.
 
Local events include cutting back birch at Bawdeswell Heath, coppicing at Foxley Wood and ongoing work at Mayfields Farm, Foulsham.
 
The group’s Christmas party on Friday 22 December will also be the handover event for Mark Webster to pass over control of the group to a new committee of volunteers, who will be running the group from now on.
