Mill Road Reepham closed

15 August: signs have appeared closing Mill Road from Rudds Lane/Whitwell Street crossroads to the railway bridge. No details are known of timing; it is believed to be due to a burst conduit. Traffic is diverted onto Whitwell Road. Note: the southern arm of Whitwell Street has no notices prohibiting a left turn onto Mill Road, despite being within the closed section.

Funeral of Eric Fuller on 14 August

The funeral of Eric Fuller will take place at St Mary's, Reepham, on Friday 14th August at 2 pm  (and not 11 am as once suggested).

Motorists please be aware of posible traffic congestion in lower Market Place/Church Hill around 13.45-14.10 and again outside the cemetery in Whitwell Road 15.30- 16.00 or thereabouts.

Another funeral on 12 May

The funeral of Mr Pask will take place in Reepham on Tuesday 12 May at 12.00. In this case it will be followed by burial in the cemetery. Therefore there is a possibility of congestion in Church Hill/ Market Place from 11.00 - 13.00; there may be mourners walking up School Road afterwards, and vehicles entering and leaving the cemetery after this time

Insecure headstone at Reepham cemetery

Another memorial has become unsafe in the Whitwell Road cemetery. It is by the empty green area near the seat at the centre, and now has red and white hazard tape. Please take care in this area. The memorial is to Walter Alford 1933 and Henrietta Alford 1961. Someone still leaves flowers on this grave.

Please contact the town clerk if you have any information as to next of kin or family; otherwise the stone will need to be laid flat.

Toads on Mill Road

Drivers at night on Mill Road, between the big sheds at the end of Whitwell Street Bridleway ("The Tunnel") and the Mill Lane crossroads, please take care not to run over toads. Seven squashed on the road before 6 a.m.  23 March, and one traumatised. Apparently this is not enough for us to have a toad warning sign

Road closures update

The closure of Church Hill, Reepham, for relining will not now take place as it has been done at night.

Closure of Station Road 30 March - 2 April will still happen as far as we know.
