Road closure at Reepham Road, Attlebridge, for road reconstruction

Work will begin on Monday 8 July to carry out carriageway repair and reconstruction works on sections of Reepham Road from Taverham through to Reepham. Site A will extend from Furze Lane, Reepham, through to Hall Road, Alderford. Site B will extend from Station Road, Attlebridge, through to Fir Covert Road, Taverham. The work will take two weeks to complete.

The carriageway reconstruction process involves the complete pulverisation and strengthening of the carriageway. It will therefore be necessary to close the road to all through traffic. A fully signed diversion via B1145 Bawdeswell, A1067 Fakenham Road and Fir Covert Road, Taverham, will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Access to properties and businesses within the limits of the works will be maintained from one end of the closure at any time, although it is inevitable that there will be some disruption. The County Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.

The work which will cost £228,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Environment, Transport and Development Department and their contractors, May Gurney (Construction Services Company) and Mott MacDonald (Engineering and Management Consultants).
