Reepham Town Football Club, which has now folded owing to a lack of interest, is on the lookout for memorabilia relating to its history.

The club originally played on a pitch at Booton beside the church and moved to Stimpson’s Piece in Reepham in 1953 after the recreation field, which was created after the Second World War, was given to the town by the Stimpson family.
At one stage the club had three senior teams, the first team playing in the top division of the Anglia Combination. It had a good deal of success over the years, winning various titles and cup competitions, including the Norfolk Junior Cup. Until the Covid-19 pandemic it had a strong youth setup run by Mike Graver with six age groups.
Some of the Reepham players went on to play at a higher level – at least one went to Norwich City FC, and another player who was a true Reepham stalwart trained as a referee and went on to “run the line” at Wembley.
Much memorabilia has been collected over the years but some is missing, including the Winston Frost Memorial Trophy, said Ken Ewing, who had been president of the club for the past 50 years, taking over from his late father.
“The Frost family are still associated with Reepham and if anyone knows of the whereabouts of this trophy it would be good to keep it for posterity,” said Mr Ewing. “There may be other items that would be nice to preserve.
“Hopefully, a new club will be formed at some stage. I understand that a team known as Reepham United plays on Saturdays and maybe they can take on the Reepham Town name?
“There is also an under-nine team known as Little Robins being run by some of the ex-Reepham players, although it will be a long time before they reach senior level.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the Winston Frost Memorial Trophy or other memorabilia associated with Reepham Town Football Club can contact Ken Ewing on 07775 577730 or email.
