Margaret Taylor, a resident of Reepham for many years, passed away peacefully on 25 November 2025 at the age of 100.
Margaret’s long life was marked by deep involvement in local groups including the Reepham WI, Knit and Natter Group, Craft Group and British Legion. She was also a regular and devoted member of the church.
Her funeral at St Mary’s, Reepham, followed by a wake at St Michael’s, was a heartfelt celebration of her century of life. The service was woven with music, hymns and tributes that reflected Margaret’s enduring love for her three children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and for the wider community.
Her commitment to causes such as the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) and her volunteer work at the James Paget Hospital were warmly remembered.
Margaret’s passion for learning never waned. At the age of 70, she began playing the piano and she enrolled at City College Norwich, where she studied art, French and local history.
Donations totalling £400 from the funeral and online contributions have been sent to the NSPCC and the RNLI, charities close to Margaret’s heart.
