A creative cornerstone: Number 21’s ever‑changing art home

Tucked on the corner of Church Hill and Ollands Road, Reepham, Number 21 has worn many faces over the years – and most long‑time local residents have a favourite version of the premises as it has evolved.

The property has been in the hands of Marion Stiefel for more than 25 years. When the Spar shop moved out, Marion and her partner, Nick Bundock, transformed the space into an antiques shop, opening the door to a new creative chapter for the building.

With a background in textile design and art, Marion has always been closely connected to the creative community, and Number 21 has welcomed a steady stream of artists ever since.

One of the earliest and longest‑standing residents, Lucy Loveheart, arrived 23 years ago, bringing her bright, whimsical artwork to the gallery. Her original paintings, prints, cards, books and gifts remain firm favourites and can still be bought both online and at Number 21.

Since spring 2025, the gallery has been home to actress, singer and artist Rebecca Grant de Longueuil, who uses the space as both her studio and exhibition area. Her work includes original paintings and limited‑edition prints – each run capped at just 25. Visitors can also explore her silk scarf collection online or see a selection of her luxurious silk pieces in person at the gallery.

Now run by Heather Johnson, Number 21 also showcases the ceramic creations of Sarah Caputo. Her floral plaques brighten the windows, while inside visitors will find decorative jugs, quirky “animals that Noah left behind” and tiny glossy apples that have become something of a talking point.

The gallery is open from 10 am – 3 pm Monday to Friday and 10 am – 1 pm on Saturdays, with visits at other times available by appointment, telephone 07762 551448 or 07776 444563.
