At its meeting on 9 September, Reepham Town Council approved payments, received the income and expenditure report and reviewed burial fees and allotment fees. Reports were also received from Norfolk County Councillor Dave Thomas and PC Denis Evans.
Issues surrounding parking in the Market Place were discussed. The town council is in contact with the county council regarding the possibility of “No Parking” signs in front of some of the shops, and a disabled parking space.
There has been an increase in fly tipping around the play area in Overton Way. If anyone has any information as to the identity of who is doing this, please contact the clerk.
Grants are being applied for to replace the skatepark, so far without success. A quote for a new floor in the hall at Stimpson’s Piece Pavilion was agreed.
A contractor was agreed to supply and install two bus shelters on Cawston Road; a grant is being applied for to cover 80% of the cost. A further shelter on Station Road is being investigated.
A representative from Albanwise was in attendance and gave further information on the amendment to the application for the Pettywell Solar Farm and the upcoming cable route application.
The Greater Norwich Local Plan scoping consultation was discussed. The main concerns for the town council are centred on possible sites, although the consultation is not considering sites at this stage.
Stimpson’s Piece
In the Stimpson’s Piece meeting, trustees agreed to allow Albanwise to lay cables across the bottom end of the recreation ground, which will not affect the tennis courts or football pitches. Agents to act on behalf of the charity were appointed.
In a closed session, it was noted that a hirer owes a significant amount in unpaid hire fees. It was agreed to pursue recovery legally.

There are currently four vacancies on the town council. Anyone interested should contact the clerk for further information and an informal chat.
