Dedicate a sanctuary Christmas tree at annual festival

Reepham Lions Club is inviting individuals and families to mark special moments this Christmas by sponsoring a small living Christmas tree in the peaceful sanctuary of St Michael’s chancel.

The Lions’ annual Christmas Tree Festival returns to St Mary’s Reepham from Wednesday 2 December to Sunday 6 December, featuring 26 large decorated trees in the main church.

This year, the festival is expanding to include 12 new sanctuary trees placed around the sides of St Michael’s chancel – a quiet space ideal for reflection and gentle celebration.

Sponsors can dedicate one of these small trees in memory of a loved one, in recognition of a special event, or simply as a way to say thank you. Each dedication will be displayed beside the tree.

The sanctuary trees are live potted trees and available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. Sponsorship costs £35, which includes the tree and a set of battery‑powered warm white lights. They can be reserved by contacting festival organiser Rosemary Black by email.

Sponsors can decorate their tree if they wish, provided no glass or additional battery‑powered items are used. Trees can be taken home on Monday 7 December to plant and enjoy for years to come.

Mrs Black said only two sponsorship opportunities remain for the 26 larger cut trees in St Mary’s. These cost £50 and can also be reserved by contacting her via email.
