Four electric vehicle (EV) charging points have been installed in Reepham’s Station Road car park.
The work, carried out earlier this year in the town’s free car park, which is currently owned by Broadland District Council, has resulted in the loss of around five spaces for non-electric vehicles out of a total of 58 available spaces.
The project forms part of a wider programme to expand public charging provision across the county.
Norfolk County Council has received £6.47 million from the government’s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure fund to support the rollout of EV charging facilities, particularly in rural areas where there are few or no charge points.
Grant funding for parish-based charging points was also received from the Norfolk Investment Framework funds.
