Reepham Town Bowls Club... you don't have to be a pensioner

The new bowls season is coming up fast and we are always interested in welcoming new members to the club.

Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be a pensioner; in fact we have a fairly good range of age groups. Mind you, pensioners are more than welcome as well.

Our opening day will be in April (date to be confirmed), but if you would like to register an interest, please let me know. You can come along for a roll-up before making a decision about joining.

Cawston history in the making

The Cawston Historical Society is looking for anyone with stories old and new about the village and to be involved with its film project, including young people aged 11-18 years. Participants will able to learn professional interviewing and animation techniques.

A grant to produce a film about the history of the village has been obtained by Media Projects East, which has produced DVDs for other villages, and the society is now urging people of all ages to come forward and help.

Christmas Shopping Evening

Reepham's second late night shopping event took place last week and, to be frank, it wasn't as well attended as we had hoped.  However, some of our great shops did report success.  Thank you very much to all those shops who opened on the night - your support for this event was really appreciated.

Clearly many potential customers were put off by the weather - it was the day of the big storm surge - although as the evening progressed the wind died down and the sky cleared to a beautiful starlit night...
