Man charged with 20 offences after vehicle thefts

A man has been charged with 20 offences following a series of thefts from vehicles in Reepham.
 
Police were called at around 7.15 am on Monday 27 May to reports that a vehicle had been broken into in Cawston Road with various items stolen.
 
It was followed by further reports of thefts from vehicles in surrounding streets.

High school heat pumps are not a noise nuisance

An internal report into the two-year saga involving noisy heat pumps at Reepham High School has concluded they are “not considered a statutory nuisance”.
 
A Broadland District Council memorandum regarding the devices at the school said that despite the noise having an impact on nearby neighbours, it does “not have sustainable grounds to object” to the operation of the pumps.

String of cars broken into in Reepham overnight

Numerous vehicles were broken into during an apparent overnight crime spree in Reepham in the early hours of Monday 27 May.
 
According to posts on the Reepham Local Facebook group, more than 10 vehicles were broken into and various items were stolen, including handbags and wallets.
 
Users of the Facebook group quickly shared their stories of damaged vehicles and missing items.
 
Residents reported most of the incidents occurred around Crown Meadow, Bircham Road and Station Road.
