Members of the Reepham Town Bowls Club turned up in the Market Place recently to have their photo taken with their new shirts at the King’s Arms, the club’s main sponsors this year.
“They have certainly been lucky for us, as we are doing well in all four leagues at the moment,” says Barry Barker. “Let’s just hope it continues.
“Meanwhile, the annual braai took place at Whitwell Hall in July and was a huge success. A big thank you to Roy and Lita for once again providing an excellent spread, although I still don’t know who drunk all my brandy!
“Sadly, we have just heard that Gerry Oates has lost his battle with cancer. Gerry had been a stalwart member of the bowls club for many years, working on the committee and most notably taking on the treasurer’s role for a number of years. He will be greatly missed.”
