Lyng’s wireless broadband service to resume on 18 June

An online statement from RW Internet posted on 13 June said the wireless broadband service in Lyng should resume by the end of business on Wednesday 18 June.

The village’s internet service has been virtually offline since mid-May with conflicting reports as to the reasons for the problem.

The Lenwade-based company maintained that BT OpenReach was resolving the issue with its connection to Lyng.

It added that it has also been in talks with another internet service provider (ISP) about potentially taking over the Lyng part of its network “as they may be able to provide a quicker resolution than the OpenReach route”.

RW Internet stressed that all other locations it supplies around the UK are functioning normally.
