Reepham Town Bowls Club - don't forget the 20th April

Just a reminder that our opening day is the 20th April at 2.30 pm. Just pop along if you want to see if you are interested. It does not matter if you have never played before, and we hope to have a roll up if the weather permits. If it does rain, we will still be there so you can meet other members and have a cup of tea. There has been a good response so far, but the more the merrier. If you cannot make it we will also have a roll up on Thursday 25th April at 6.30 pm.

What can't Reepham afford to lose?

In the April issue of Reepham Life, Your Council Matters ran a feature about the importance of creating a Community Asset List and asked  you, “What can’t Reepham afford to lose?”  We are very grateful for the first response, which was as follows:

More thoughts about parking in Reepham

I refer to your article in Reepham Life. Car parking is a problem in Reepham. Perhaps the developer of the land off Dereham Road could be persuaded to provide a small car park near the Doctors Surgery - this would have the dual purpose of an overspill park for the Doctors (which car park is often full and people park where they can on Smugglers Lane) and a public park only a few steps from the town centre. Reepham WI were praised for the variety and interesting content of their programme, the friendliness and liveliness of their meetings, and for a forward looking approach to women's lives, which has resulted in a ever increasing membership.

Quartet (12A) 13th April Bawdeswell Village Cinema

Our next film in the Village Hall is QUARTET 13th April 7:00 for 7:30 start.

A really great British comedy cast, (Maggie Smith, Tom Courtenay, Billy Connolly, Pauline Collins and Michael Gambon) this is the kind of comedy that only the British can do. This is a first major Director role for Dustin Hoffman.

Based in a home for the mature, it has great fun with the problems of getting on in years interlinked with ‘Oh God, not you’ statements of ‘friends’ meeting again after many years.

Urgent: Station Road bottle bank full

The Station Road Bottle bank is full and is now surrounded by hundreds of bottles and some broken glass. This has been reported to Broadland District Council this morning, 3 April, and they have informed the contractor that the matter is urgent and clearance is to be treated as a high priority. The contractor has undertaken to empty the bottle banks this week.
